Myself so that I can move out of home (I'm 31). Currently working a job and hitting the gym. Stopped jerking off to ladyboys and changed my diet around.

I'm in the same situation and doing nothing to change it (besides the ladyboys thing)
Finished configuring VSCode to write, build and debug in C/++ code.
Coming from an embedded enviromnent I didn't know shit about launch.json and task.json and had to learn what does files do.
I had to literally use copilot to explain to me how the frick to do it since search results either pointed to very specific usecases or to dead stackOverflow answers that just said "use this <generic ass script that I won't explain what it does>"
So I managed to write a relatively simple launch.json and tasks.json that build and debug also different files in the same folder.
I still have to understand how to organize said files in folders since if I organize the .c/.cpp/.h/.hpp files in folders the compiler shits itself because it doesn't find them since it's looking for them in the main directory and is not aware of subdirectories.

I downloaded and extracted (no installation required) MinGW as the compiler and wrote in the tasks.json where to look for the compiler.
Just finished gooning. Going to organize my goon files now. Honestly need a good way to encrypt and decrypt the files on my USB on android. It should also allows me a good gallery view/media viewer once I unlock it. Haven't found any good app that does that so I think i might make one myself.
anyways, ive had a few projects to write in C, Rust or js in mind. I wanted to write a simple json parser. But that's boring and not very useful.
i wanted to write a simple chatting app, but i dont wanna have to read docs about networking apis.
Well, frick coding, i think i''start drawing or making music

I tell myself that wasting my life away on here and on Youtube is in some sense research. I know better, but I still need to keep the dream alive, that somehow everything will all come together.
I've literally done nothing but waste 10 years of my life away but then >obtained a car (2018) >obtained a stable job (2019) >obtained a gf (2022) >became the owner of a fricking house (last month)
I just like to imagine the face of Schwab seething that a loser like me owns several physical things.
Grandparents had a fund that legally wasn't a house but only storage room, so they had to call the architect and land surveyor to convert it to a habitable building and then passed the property to me. >inb4 you got lucky because your grandparents still had the house
yeah yeah I won't deny it I didn't pay a cent. It just feels good to have a personal space.
Trying to write a just.works (as in it only works with my software and nothing else unless i modify the code for it which makes me lol) windowing system, autism is making me want to mess with drivers and be able to track the touchpad input to handle the cursor without a gui but i cant find the correct driver and i am about to give up on that part.
Currently making a home server using some old laptops. Also looking into writing an application for the FMCB launcher so I can deactivate region locks on my modded ps2
If you can't write anything nearly as good as what Satoshi wrote what is the point?
It's over for the bankers and rent seekers and they don't even know it.
Are there even any problems left in the world? Is there anything left to compress?
I'm building an XCOM 2012 clone with wild west themes.
I can't build a campaign of that caliber, or models that good, but I'll get there.
I'll come back in a year with a demo.
Told myself I'd finally pick one web project and get started on it this week after months of neeting doing no code so I can finally feel ready to apply for jobs again, but the thought of starting makes me wanna kill myself
I'm so fricking tired
I can't make choices
I can't trust myself to finish anything
I can't even shower and I hate the smell
I'm taking the antidepressants and the sleep pills and things feel easier but it's still not enough. I don't know how to fix this. I even feel like I would need to be another person with another body entirely to not have this problem
I'm learning some ML. There's models for tagging hentai booru style out but, but it lumps all futa together for the most part and is hit and miss on balless, balls w/vegana, and balls only. So I figured a great first model would be to sort those three. I'm not a fan of no balls.
I'm doing a silly little thing in Rust that uses local LLM to roast your code. You can give it an entire folder, it scans for code files and puts each suggestion into a PDF report. Like a code review.
But it's a bit iffy to find the energy since I'm already coding all day at work
Mandelbrot set renderer in Python. Yesterday I got a naive implementation working, but since it used loops and was unoptimized it took ~10 minutes to generate a high res image. I rewrote it without loops and now it's ~20 seconds, something like 30x speedup. Honestly if I either switched to a distance algorithm or used gpus it would probably be instant

Niggel prease.
Anyway, I'm making it based on the concept of an orthodox file manager, as in, there are exactly two or one windows open side to side at any point but it's very easy to swap what window one wants in either slot.

I believe in you
you will be back to jerk off to ladyboys while scared to frick one
Ganbatte Anon,
I am also on a similar road (besides the ladyboys thing tho)
I'm in the same situation and doing nothing to change it (besides the ladyboys thing)

Setting up a proxy server on VPS for myself later today, not much concerning personal projects otherwise.

Why do you need to encrypt them?
who knows

Something doesn't add up here. If you wanted 10 years of your life only just got a job in 2019, then how was it enough to afford a home?
Grandparents had a fund that legally wasn't a house but only storage room, so they had to call the architect and land surveyor to convert it to a habitable building and then passed the property to me.

Divide those things in little steps, anon. There's no need to do everything at once.
