Lots of people praise the Hobonichi, I think it's alright just very overpriced. I got a journal in January, but I didn't use it at all. I guess that's just me.
try midori md instead. it's more reasonable
he just said he didnt use it in months why the frick would he buy another overpriced notebook
I use the Kokuyo Campus notebooks. They're cheap and always sit flat when you open them.
I have a normal journal from the everything store. I write in it every night using my Dutch-Esperanto cypher about my day
For me, it's Moleskine and the ineffably named one in OP's pic. I can personally attest to both. The 1917 one is a little fancier, and comes with 2 ribbons.
After using notebooks for a while, I’m sad to say I’ve transferred to taking digital notes; kind of takes the soul out of it, but I’m a stream-of-conciousness type of guy, and I noticed my fleeting thoughts weren’t really keeping up with my pen
moleskins are nice, but these days I usually just Obsidian everything.
An old harry potter journal I use it 2 a year I have had it since I was 8. It's more fun to look back on my thought process when I was younger.
my journal is an encrypted document on my computer which also has FDE because I would have to kill myself if anyone ever read my diary tbh
Don't take yourself too serious
Explain yourself. Post your notebooks.
Is there any difference between these and the Moleskine notebooks?
The two brands basically look identical on the shelf.
Just a regular rhodia notebook
Also I don't have a regular journal; rather I keep a plethora of notebooks for different purposes
I have so many around my place, people would think I am schizo, but I have a system man.
Leuchtturm is great for everyone who doesn't use particularly wet fountain pens, so like 99% of people. But I have to say that I moved on to pic related. E-ink tablets have gotten so fast that it feels very close to writing on real paper, and nothing beats the convenience of having dozens of notebooks in a single spot.
I only use cheap stuff with papers are so thin the ink seeps through to the other side, ruining any experience whatsoever for me. This way I only write down the most essential thoughts
Markor app on my phone.
I have a moleskine dotted instead of lined journal. It's fantastic, I can use it to draw electronics schematics or write thoughts equally. I love it
What kind of pens do you use? Anything fancy or just a standard 2b pencil? I've been using a fine liner to write but it's dieing so I might have to switch to singing new in a couple days.
I have these small 5x3 memo books I really like. I take one with me and use it to jot down anything I want to remember throughout the day.
Then at night I have a normal journal that I use to when I want to write with more detail
Big Atlantis. They feel smooth to write with.
Sorry I meant BIC Atlantis, this browser autocorrect stuff they're putting in isn't for me :
I use a physical journal for privacy. I write in a foreign language; my cursive handwriting is readable but dense and I use a blue ink that looks light and innocent.
Notes app on da iPhone. Then when the note is solidified and set and I deem it important I save it in a word document.
When I started keeping a notebook, I poured over all the choices, watched videos, read reviews and generally wasted a lot of time. I had an old Strathmore sketch book from years ago that arrived with a cut slice across the cover, so it never got used. Anyhow, I use it, great paper quality and spiral bound. Don't buy some forty dollar special that may not even get used. You can try journaling on scraps of paper. If buying. look at dot grid versus ruled , graphed or plain.
Forgot to add,
5.5" by 8.5" is a good size and I carry a little 4.5" bt 3.25" composition book in my shirt pocket. That way I always have something handy.
I just got some cheap notebook to write a travel journal on my roadtrip.
I really hope that I don't fuss too much about making it look all pretty and shit and just write stuff I want to remember down. Usually my fricking moronic perfectionism gets in the way of such things and I hate it.
