I read the sailor who fell from grace with the sea in one day, it was shit
i'll create more this anon... but you must know my curse
I do not know. I read Gibbon's Decline and Fall along with 8 other texts to support it. All of this over the course of a year. It was pretty heavy.
I think 80 or so the day mccarthys passenger came out. I can’t do more, I’m usually just burned out by that point. On average I do 20-40 pages a day and usually have a whale of a time. I do wonder if smoking less weed and doing less physical labor would help though
I have hit 500+ on days where I don't have much going on.
I feel like this defeats the purpose of a lot of longer books where it feels like a journey. Blowing through War & Peace in 2-3 days would blunt the experience
Very wisely put anon
After 60 i feel like shit
Around 250. Unless you count Harry Potter when I was a kid, read most of Order of the Phoenix in one sitting
400 pages of The Brothers Karamazov but I didn't sleep that day.
i haven't read a book in at least 4 years
I don't read books
I usually do 100 of these a day.
50 pages of Karamazov in an hour. I’m slow.
I read the entire preface to the Phenomenology in one sitting, in 2011
Actually I am not sure. I know I read most Plato dialogues, one each day in 2020 and it took a little over a month. There are fifty five “official” ones if you count each book of Republic and Laws as a dialogue.
I am not using a trip code. Also if I did not use my name how would you recognize my elevated thoughts??
607 when I read all of deathly hallows as a kid.
750 when i smoked meth
your brain did not register any of the words you read
Like 200
Earlier this year I spent a whole day reading the last 540 pages of Count of Monte Cristo, so probably that
the order of the phoenix, but that was more than a decade ago. Had to spread no longer human into three days last week
Typically between 20-50. If i'm almost done with a book I can read about 80ish
About tree fiddy
200 I think
Sad as it is to say it was probably when I was a kid and read the entirety of the last Series of Unfortunate Events book in one day. With my current attention span I couldn't see myself doing that again.
I work night shifts and get plenty of time to just sit and read.
Finished this in one shift recently. About 230 pages?
500+. But it was a shitty book that you can red it fast
Read Looking for Alaska on a few hour flight in high school, probably that. Nowadays more like 30ish a day, too brain rotted by vidya and weed.
Pages read is a bad measure, due to varying page sizes. When I wasn’t absorbed in other pursuits I could read all day for entertainment, so no idea. Now I probably read 100+ daily when reading, but the material isn’t just for enjoyment, and I’m hardly intelligent enough to fully grasp what I read at first. So it’s a bit of a chore.
Maybe 100+ , but i'm a slow reader. Wish i could read 1 page 1 minute. I envy speed readers who can just skim a book and spit out all the information.
Since there are so many larpers, I read 5000 on one occasion. I only managed to walk the dog once that day though instead of the usual twice a day, she wasn't happy.
I read Animal Farm for the first time in one sitting a couple days ago, that was 85 pages
I've never really counted them, but a few months ago I read Agota Kristof's The Notebook in one sitting (with a toilet break or two).
500
like 600 pages of brandon sanderson once. It goes down easy and requires 0 brain power to consume.
I read PKD’s “A Maze of Death” in one day. Final’s had ended and I had a day completely to myself
I've read for 8 hours straight for classes (historical sources and literature). Don't have an exact page count though.
Read no longer human in a day the first time I took adderall
