What's the plan after you die?

Will you give your family members somehow access to your digital belongings, or you'll just live them forever locked?
If you own crypto/stocks/foreign bank accounts, how will you bequeath it to your to your loved ones?
Are you prepared for a sudden death from this standpoint?

What belongings? I don't take pictures or video, I have no social media. I'm too scared to invest.
The only thing I back up is porn and single player quake maps I make entirely for myself because I'm afraid of criticism.

ok, in that case you don't need a plan.

Autoupload the quake maps then. You can't be criticized if you're too dead to receive it.

Modern storage media will die way before you do.
Expect 3 years max for any kind of physical persistent storage.

Too young to care about it.
But most of you are around 40, so that's the time to care about it.

nobody is too young for a sudden death. You can get hit by a car or something.

Probably stupid to talk about it here but whatever.

I have a deadmans switch set up on several hosting services. It basically monitors me, and if it sees a lack of activity for more then a year, it attempts to contact me, if it gets no reply it takes action.

The exact actions have varies from the time I've set it up. But currently it turns converts my crypt stash in to resources, liquidates my stocks and deposits it proportionally between several preset accounts.

One being my ex-wife, and my current girlfriend. Two being my closest friends, and one being my old army buddy. Then it sends adequate emails to a few of their accounts, explaining what is going on, that i've sent them some money to have fun with, a few wishes on how i'd like them to spend it, thanks everyone for being part of my life and saying a few nice words, giving my best wishes to everybody, and apologizes for not being there to experience the fun.

By my math, and as an example of the lowest pay out sum, by army buddy gets around 25k. I ask him to go to Vegas and tip a stripper 5k, the remaining 20k should cover his remaining costs.

Planning on going to Vegas and blowing an insane amount of money got us both through training and deployment. We never got a chance to do it, but like this i hope he at least gets a chance to reminisce a bit.

The other examples are similar, but mostly concern college and pension funds.

...could this NOT be bait? probably not, why would you take the time to make that up
But how do you even set up those "actions"?

      >deposits it proportionally between several preset accounts.
You can just deposit money into other peoples' accounts? Must not be American.
      >vegas
      >paying for college
Sounds like America. Why the inconsistency? This couldn't be a larp could it?

No, you fricking moron. Do you even have a bank account? You can put money into any account aslong as you have the account number.

            >Do you even have a bank account?
            Yes, but you apparently shouldn't.
            >You can put money into any account aslong as you have the account number
Yes, and in America you can also take money out of it as long as you have the account number. Did you really not know this?

If my family found my porn folders after I died, they'd likely remove any mention of my name, burn my photos, and dump my cremains in a Walmart dumpster.
