It's too accelerate ai fricking manchild

lmao good one
>Conflating CPU and GPU
moron detected
>Oh yeah bro you're totally gonna hook up 10 H100s to a 5800X3D to accelerate it or something!
Yeah, moron detected.
Sometimes when they win, they do it by 30-40%+ which is a massive and immediately noticeable difference. When they lose it's by some tiny % margin you will never notice IRL while playing a game, so they're the correct choice for a gaming PC.
>they aren't even consistently the best in gaming
now post the averages chart
Intel is using 4x more power, of course it will win
It's to reduce draw calls. Not all games benefit from this. Show some benchmarks of something like Microsoft Flight Simulator or Assetto Corsa Competizione.
>It's to reduce draw calls
And how would more cache on CPU reduce the number of draw calls..?
Meanwhile, in the real world...
>CPU runs games better at 720p but is GPU bound at 4k so runs the same
>Same CPU is shit when doing every single thing other than gaming.
Basically, if you game at 720p/1080p with a 4090 then you should get a 7800x3d. If you do anything else then don't bother.
all the screenshots here show perf at 1080p moron
what's your point, who cares about your screenshot, homosexual?
if you are not a zoomie moron playing counterstrike at 8000fps and instead play proper boomer games like stellaris, SOASE, or even rimworld, X3D is orders of magnitude better than any intel offering.
the whole point of X3d is that it offers better performance without needing software optimizations on heavily cpu bottle necked games, and many of those old/unoptimized games will benefit the most.
try running rimworld with 20+ colonists and droids and trow in 40+ mods. X3d runs laps around any alternative. you can just keep adding pawns until the game breaks due to its shit engine rather than running out of cpu power.
the main problem AMD has with X3d is their marketing, they focus on games like counterstrike where they see gains, but are minor. seeing a +3fps average gain on a fps game wont sell a cpu, but marketing to a boomer player that he can now play civilization with 16 civs and have 20 second CPU turns as opposed to abandon any long game once the turns get to 3 minutes+ will definitely sell some CPUs.
game like stellaris become ridiculously epic once you can get to the crisis stage with massive fleets and NO frame drops.
same thing with other boomer games like planetside2, that game is like 12 years old now, and even top of the line CPUs struggle when you have big 100v100 fights. ever since i got a 5800x3d it feels like cheating running around at 100fps locked while i can tell everyone else is struggling with the mayhem.
got my 5800 for 100 and its pretty comfy, my time to encode a video has increased almost 60% lol, but my enjoyment is off the charts, the last time i had such a massive bump to my enjoyment of video games was all way back on the early 2ks when i got my first GPU (Geforce2)
i never had such good returns on such a small investment, i know the 78000 is better, but i guess ill wait for next gen now.
Agreed. I added my 5800x3d last summer to a 4 year old Gigabyte X570 Aorus elite mobo and it only needed a firmware update and was good to go. Many older games benefit from it, but newer stuff like Darktide also saw a noticable bump up from the 3700X it replaced. I think AMD genuinely has no idea where to market online besides reddit and tech reviewers, while intel hits the same spots plus normie channels to win the word of mouth.
I'll likely get another 4 years out of the same system minimum for the $289 I gave Microcenter for the purchase. This is my first AMD board and it feels good not to bow to Shitel and require another board and operating system key just to upgrade the processor.
Worth noting that the benchmarks for the 5700X3D are also really good for the money, but most people won't even know it exists.
I appreciate the sentiment, but stellaris is shit even with a 7800X3D. Still lags like shit frick even on tiny galaxy with 25% habitable worlds. I have that CPU and I have literally never gotten past 2450. Yes it's better than anything else, maybe a whole 30% uplift but it certainly doesn't make Stellaris playable.
Kicks ass for CIV 5 tho.
I like playing my old shitty games like STALKER and Meiou and Taxes with my X3D.
Runs faster, doesn't cost a fortune and just werks.
>posting benchmarks before the amd cpu patch
brainlet shill. Enjoy your degrading, unstable at stock settings and meme core cpu.
Hmm yes very interesting OP
>Tom's Shillware
> @ 5.6
kek
for those overclocks intels use 400W while the x3d uses 50
>toms shillware
LOL
meanwhile in reality
>tpu & goys nexus
>x3D at the top
one final hurrah for AM4, thats the x3d use case
Remember when amd gays spent 4+ years insisting that 4k benchmarks were the only relevant gaming benchmarks for cpus and clowning on 1080p ones? I remember
AMD and Intel both have the same big israelite shareholders and invest in Israel, why the frick are you defending these israelite megacorpos you moron, literally slave mindset.
Enjoy your crappy VIA CPU then
i just upgraded my 8700k to a 7800x3d yesterday. bought an asus b650 motherboard and ive never had so many issues with flashing bios in my 20 years building.
pulled the trigger because i didnt want to wait for zen5. we never know when we will go. the performance difference is great.
>buying asus in 2024
your fault senpai
as someone who mostly cares about emulation, i dont really care tbh.
you need a monster cpu to get 30 fps in ps3 emu
uh no...? also the non-x3d variants of most AMD cpus have better raw clock speeds, so better performance for emulation. this is part of the reason why intel is still king in emulation (also doesnt help that most of the RPCS3 devs all benchmark using intel)
true
only the latest gen cpus are good enough for ps3, zen 4 and whatever lake
X3D is still more desirable for emulation, both yuzu and rpcs3 run better on a 5800x3d compared to the higher clocked 5800x and 5950x.
It depends on the game
why no avx512 on amd?
12th gen intel requires a workaround to get AVX512 working and the other ones have it enabled by default.
>have to use old buggy bios on 12th gen
>have to disable ecores
nice meme
X3D is better just because it's cheap as frick
You can buy 5700x3d for $200 off AliExpress and it'll update your old am4 shitbox to top tier again
They have a lot more cache, so programs/games that make effective use of it should run better
They're also rather efficient
it's so amd can sell the same chip twice for full retail prices
If the 3D cache has a benefit, which it most certainly does, there isn't anything wrong with it
Intel would split the lineup even more than AMD and charge twice as much if they.were in AMD's shoes
