The fact Hell exists at all shows God tends to lean more towards malevolence. Eternal damnation is the definition of sweeping problems (you created) under the rug instead of addressing them in any meaningful way.
Pre-Talmudic israelites never had this dilemma because they didn't really believe in Hell the same way Christians do

Imagine the people who have caused the hunger, pain and suffering of entire peoples for profit. Where do they deserve to go if not hell?

Having them experience all the suffering they've inflicted seems more proportional than eternal conscious torment. ETC is completely fricked and I don't see how people can be okay with it unless they haven't spent much time thinking about what eternity actually means.

Why should mercy be given to the merciless?

Heaven alone is a pretty shit afterlife so they should just go there with every other Christian

        NOOOOOOOOOOO

YUO JUST CANT SEND CHILD RAPISTS AND SNUFF PORN PRODUCERS TO HELLLLLLL

        THAT WOULD BE EVIL
        NOT RIGHT AND JUST
        THEY DIN DO NUFFIN

Hell includes the vast majority of people according to the Bible.
        >for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
It's not just the worst of the worst like you're describing. Be honest, it'd probably include you.

        Except if they repent.
Also you can get sent to hell for a lot less worse than that.

But God doesn't send child rapists and snuff porn producers to hell. He sends them to heaven because they repented on their death bed while the atheist victims go to hell.

That repentance doesn't count it only counts if the Holy Spirit led them to it

No, they still do not deserve that. I'd wish you to spend 3 seconds there and then return so you could understand.

    No biggie, right?

then people would be theoretically allowed to follow their own direction, or someone besides God

Not necessarily true, there are other reasons besides threats of hellfire that people follow certain religions, like having a moral foundation, or community, or simply as a way to express spiritualism. You're basically just admitting that people have no good reasons to actually e Christian/Muslim other than being threatened to

there are BETTER reasons for doing things. That's precisely why a low tier criticism is not allowable.

If God were malevolent, he could deceive us by making us believe he's benevolent.

Religious people must believe theologians and scripture writers can accurately characterize God in intricate detail and never contradict each other. They are right because they must be right, and they've said God is omnibenevolent. If he isn't, then what could we really say about God? What if the scriptures actually aren't unequivocal about God? Muh traditions!

evidently your parents arent loving because they arent benevolent in accordance with the categorical imperative or something.

Then humanity may infact not even be relevant and you have to search the entire universe to understand what he is about. But if he is benevolent then you can a read a book or something and its all good, trust the plan.

Absolutely nothing. The "God is good, perfectly benevolent and without passions" shit is Platonist nonsense based on nothing but word games. God just does what He wills.
