What's your favorite coding music for programming all night?

For me, it's old school hardstyle.

      yeah that works

Usually just something relaxing with a good beat, like this

      hmm I'm not feeling it

It's soundtrack from TOARU series. Many anime release their themes and background songs on an album, which you can pick and choose songs that resonate with you

There's also a thing called "intelligent DnB" which is also dope, but the name is just fricking moronic, how can a DnB be moronic? It's just more chill and cool

      I meant to type "intelligent"

I like jungle for chill moments but not for when I gotta put in a lot of hours with little sleep. For that I like something more energetic like the other anon said.

Black person music. It's the best music from real people who have beats.

I like rap but it's too distracting to code and it doesn't put you in the right analytical mindset.

You just need to remove the lyrics, get the instruments. https://youtu.be/DUg2rlY_dbw I'm probably showing my age

Like prodigy. Some of the songs with singing aren't so good but the instrumental versions are ok

lots of people hated this one because of the singing but it sounds a lot better without

i think this is my favourite though

Genuinely a good half or more of all the time I spend listening to music is this album by Aphex Twin; it's unlike anything else just for getting me in the zone. At the same time utterly compelling and gets out of your way.

There's some very nice stuff in this thread though; if anyone has recommendations of stuff that's similar to Selected Ambient Works Vol. II or anyone who's posted stuff here it would be lovely
