"Consulting" is extremely broad. You generally will need a degree, and some kinds of consultancy are based around having very specific experience in an industry. But you can also become one out of college joining a larger consultancy firm. When I last looked it doesn't look like the degree subject itself mattered too much. They'd be looking for strong analytical skills and generally just being intelligent to come into a complex situation and "get" what's happening. As a fair warning the industry is fully DEI-maxxed at the lower levels.

when i was 24 and started making 6 figures. by the time i was 28 i was more or less at the normie wagecuck salary cap ($200k)
if i had waited around for 8-10 years i could have made it to director (250-300k) and then partner and pushed my salary to 7 figures. low 7 figures is undeniably the wagecuck cap.
however my ass was not made to be buck-broken by fat old consultants in the hopes that i'd get promoted, so i quit to try and create my own company that i can offload on some PE firm in 5-6 years for 9 figures, and then i'll retire.
if i fail at least i can go find another 200k consulting job pretty easy.
I have 50k in crypto, 25k in a brokerage account and 100k in a 401k. I can't afford a house but I can travel, buy any hobby equipment I want and live comfortably as long as I own no property. If I choose to buy a home I'll just be house poor.

i did multiple 20x on the last cycle, too, but it was only with small amounts of capital $1k - 2k
