Is masturbation giving into lust in the same way that eating a delicious food is giving into gluttony or wanting to earn money giving into greed?

            >And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

This is just God explaining that mortality is now a thing after the fall. Says nothing about suicide.

            Lev 11:2-3
            >“Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud."
These are just setting the kosher rules for israelites. It says nothing about cannibalism not being allowed, especially if you don't consider humans to be animals.

The Deuteronomistic History perfectly demonstrates Hebrew perceptions of virtues around the same time that the Torah was compiled. Not only is suicide not seen in the light that it later was, it is the same with lying, killing many people, having multiple wives, et cetera

If you look at a woman to lust for her, you commit adultery within your heart.
Masturbation implies porn consumption or at the very least, you imagining a certain individual.
Maybe if you just jerk off for the feeling itself, it's not considered sinful.

      >If you look at a woman to lust for her, you commit adultery within your heart.
That doesn't make sense, if I have desire to eat Pringles in a diet but I don't do it, I have completed gluttony and sin in my heart?
What does "in my heart" even mean?

How can you commit adultery inside if you don't even know the girl? Can you kill inside, eat inside? That doesn't mean anything; I think that verse is said to just not tempt yourself but is not literal
      >Masturbation implies porn consumption or at the very least, you imagining a certain individual.
I still don't know why is that bad. If I imagine myself killing you in my mind is not the same as me doing it for example.
      >Maybe if you just jerk off for the feeling itself, it's not considered sinful.
So it's the same as scratching your ass or eating something good once in a while, it is only bad if you sacrifice meaningful things in life for them. (Such as relationships with loved ones for example)

        >Can you kill inside, eat inside?
        Yes you can.
If you get angry at your brother, this is the same offense as committing murder.
When it comes to eating, If you seek to indulge the flesh , you become subservient to it.
Man doesn't survive on bread alone, but by every word which comes out from the mouth of God.

Jesus came to write the law in our hearts, the circumcise us spiritually and to deliver us to the kingdom of heaven which is not of this world.
Once must learn to deny himself, to carry his cross and to make constant sacrifices, for we are called to be Christlike and to be perfect like him

You are mistaken if you think that God wants to send everyone to heaven, or if you think that he has the best intentions for some starving child in a Chinese sweatshop factory.
There are vessels of mercy which are predestined to receive his grace and fatherly love, but there are also vessels of wrath which are meant to glorify him through pain and suffering for eternity.
He doesn't want you to believe if you were meant to be a vessel of wrath, belief is just a tool which is used to gather the lost sheep and to point them in the right direction.
It's pretty pointless for you to believe if you are a wolf who is only concerned about catching his pray and being self sufficient.

Satan doesn't have any agency whatsoever, he is an extension of God's will. With one wave of his hand, Jesus can make Satan and all of his legions to bow down and tremble.
I assume you are not familiar with the concept of controlled opposition?

That's about failing to fulfill the duties of a Levirate marriage. He didn't want to cum inside of her because it meant that he would lose access to his brother's wealth.

Jesus is referring to the Law and by adultery it is meant laying with the wife of another man. The Greek word for woman and wife is the same, likewise in Aramaic.

The Bible is silent on the matter. The closest It comes is when Jesus says you shouldn't look at a married woman with lust. The rest of the sexual limitations are purely based on women being possessions of men and you shouldn't soil another man's property.

The Bible doesn't say slavery is wrong and it advocates genital mutilation. I think basing your standards on this book is moronic. God is obviously real but the Bible is clearly not perfect or an ultimate source of authority by any means.

It says involuntary slavery (as opposed to indentured servitude) is wrong. In fact in the OT that was punishable by death (which was why they had to come up with justifications for the African slave trade like the Curse of Ham)
As for genital mutilation, unless you're a Messianic israelite (which I'm fairly certain you would have no interest in becoming), that was fulfilled. See the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15)

        >Acts 15
Even though it's waived for gentiles in Acts, you have to believe the creator of the universe asked men to cut off the tips of their dicks, moroning the function that he designed intentionally. I don't believe that. And it's kind of crazy that such an idea passed the test for this long. Probably because they wouldn't let anyone read the Bible.

That's not even the worst part, it might have been the case that in the original story, which was later redacted, Abraham went through with it. Nothing is said about Isaac while Abraham is returning from Mount Moriah. It would have been a story about the merit of sacrificing one's first born and was later changed because there was reform in the Israelite religion.

the sacrifice of firstborn as opposed to later has to do with bloodtypes.
this has always been about ethnic warfare, but because people mixed, the original practice turned into schizophrenic rituals

If the traditional narrative that Abraham existed and started worshipping Yahweh, the potentially real deity, then he didn't found Judaism, Islam, or Christianity. He founded a predecessor to Judaism and Samaritanism.

A predecessor to Judaism and Samaritanism that is ultimately responsible for the birth of those religions, along with Christianity, Islam, Baha'i, and Mormonism.

Onan promised his infertile brother that he would knock up his wife in order to give them sons of the family, but he broke his promise by intentionally letting his seed spill on the ground - afraid of the commitment that his promise would bring into the world.
Basically he just wanted to have sex with his brothers wife and denied them offspring.
Modern germanic language often misquotes this story as "Onani" meaning self-pleasure in itself, when the story originally is about breaking one of the most important oaths one could have with ones family,- which is to help raise the family and to be honest.
Onani/Masturbation is then in most cases only INFERRING that masturbation will lead to being afraid of starting an family, as it's not as pleasurable in the moment as the act itself.
I'd say there's definitely something in there to take seriously, but most people haven't actially read the verse and thus the implication is lost on them - leading to unfounded wild conflict between 2 ignorant sides.
