There might be more shows. Animated maybe. Arya maybe. Or Nymeria. He’s involved in all of them of course.

He has now evolved beyond even that, he is subverting not just the narrative of chosen ones but narrative itself. You were raised to believe that stories have endings. They don't. Does life have an end? No!
George, by not finishing his story, is commenting on the nature of life as incomplete. He is following a path that Hideo Kojima started on with MGSV but didn't dare to follow to its end. Do you think it a coincidence that George has worked with Japanese video game developers recently? No! That is where is mind has been.

if it doesn't come out by 2025 it is not coming out. i remain hopeful based on some things he has said over the last year or so about it nearing completion, but if it actually doesn't come out in the next two years then he was one hundred percent talking out of his arse and it is just not coming.
Just accept that it's never coming out, because at his age with each year it becomes increasingly likely that he croaks before he finishes the book. If it will indeed come out one day you'll be pleasantly surprised, if not - you would've already moved on.

Like, I understand he goes on and on about being "realistic," but to me it is sufficient merely to mention from time to time that a character needs to take a crap. You don't have to have multiple instances of mention of it in every book.
I mean the scene definitely pulls off making me feel like Dany's at her absolute lowest. Even when she was in the red wasted she at least had the remnants of her khalasar and Jorah. Either she figures out how to control a dragon or she dies of dysentery.
