Why the frick would 'the history of western philosophy' by Russell Bertrand make somebody seethe?

It's very biased in some parts. He doesn't even try to interpret Nietzsche accurately and instead reduces him to "Nietzsche said 'might is right' which is bad," he doesn't have a chapter on Kierkegaard and he minimizes the existentialists, and the book is set up to be like "so yeah, philosophy has led up to the logicians like me who are totally about to solve philosophy, it's been a fun ride, guys!" There's still a lot of valuable info someone new to philosophy could learn, but you have to take it with a massive grain of salt.

He was a weak man. Look at his physique. A real man could break him like a twig

and yet he was still a top shagger, so him being weak doesn't really matter does it

Actually saved this? I made this years ago, and even I forgot about it.

People still make threads seething about Russell's treatment of Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, and Hegel.

I read about half. She does this very annoying thing of being very matter of fact and strict about history, going into autistic detail over seemingly irrelevant points of roman politics and out of nowhere comes up with something like: oh btw, the romans were trans and black.

It's not that she mentions quirks about roman society since we know a vast empire in europe would always have great diversity. It's how blantantly she makes a point of it trying to highlight it, clearly appealing to modern sensibilties. Annoying as frick.

I should say that when I made this chart, there was a guy who spammed this site with tons of posts about it, and Diop was one of the authors he referenced.
Just thinking about it makes me realize I've been on this site for way too long.

Open borders made me cringe. Not only cause it implies it is the US that needs to open its borders (I'm not american but the transparency of the angeda makes my gut bubble) but also cause the cover is by that fricking reddit comic illustrator.

White fragility sounds gross too, but the rest seem to be ok.
