No, instead she was a spiteful contrarian that all but turned women into the real victimizers and who believed that anything 'pro-woman' was actually anti-woman within her erratic and inconsistent concept of what role and value women actually had to society.
Her entire Apollonian vs Dionysian obsession essentially devalues women to nothing but dick cleaners should the reader have any interest in material advancement of society. This while still pretending that yeah, women totally have value and females like her shouldn't be turned into frick toys by the powerful masculine male world.

She is neurotic about the role of women in society and demands that they bend over backwards not to step on any toes, while also accusing them of having an overly sanctimonious mono-culture that fears actually hurting anyone one's feelings.
She prattles the "ticky tacky houses" thing of everyone that isn't her being a massive square who is just like everyone else, and blames modern society and feminism and yadda yadda for this. This despite drawing on a long list of basically identical contrarian sources that say 90% of the same stuff as her. If she hadn't read Nietzsche she'd just be a clone of Phyllis Schlafly.

The only thing separating her from being a proto-RETVRN TO TRADITION type, is her aggressive horniness and obsession with sex being pushed to the forefront of all society and politics.
A sex she doesn't actually ever interface with, being a transsexual lesbo who hasn't gotten fricked by a man or a woman since the 60s.

Of course a gay dude likes Paglia. She tells you everything you wanted to hear about women.

So many frauds named in this thread.
"Intellectuals" became uneducated, corrupt, and cowardly. This has been the case since at least the 1950's or so. There are no longer genuine intellectuals like T.S. Eliot, Nietzsche, Ortega y Gasset, Remy de Gourmont, Wyndham Lewis, Fernando Pessoa, Borges, Schopenhauer, Leopardi, etc. Men who were highly intelligent, perceptive, had something to say and said it clearly, regardless of what form they chose.
All we have now are "intralexuals" writing "theory" B.S., and the few who remain clear and understandable are usually nothing but moralist preachers of the Anglo/Anglicized type like Chomsky and Peterson -- all the first can do is point out one or two things, often wrongly, about this or that paragraph in Kant, while the later can do nothing but ask us to think what would obviously be thought by someone who follows their worldview.
The closest we get to an intellectual are scientists and mathematicians like Roger Penrose and Nassim Taleb, but their scope is limited to technical matters, and whenever they step outside of those matters they become clueless.

If you want me to choose a living intellectual hero, I choose ChatGPT, because it's better than all of the current idiots, and probably more alive too, judging by how old, fat, or sickly people like Zizek, Peterson, Habermas, Weinstein and Chomsky are.
