There are ways to prevent this, like by making it invite only and distributing only a limited amount of invites during certain events, or by conducting a short interview on a chat, or by asking new people to solve a one-time proof-of-work problem to get an account, or asking for a one-time donation to get an account, these are just some examples that comes to mind.

So, with so many phone posters and their IPs changing, the poster count kinda became meaningless in the end.
I would still want it displaying though.
