why are apple screens literally decades behind the rest of the industry?(OP) >>muh refresh rate >Nobody fricking cares. AFAIK mini LEDS have a blooming problem if you want to b***h about something that actually matters.
>5k vs 4k on 27" is hardly noticeable. i went from the lg 5k to a dell 4k and it's fine.
You are blind
I have a Studio Display and a 4K monitor, both 27 inches, and text on the the 4K monitor is either obviously fuzzier or obviously bigger
yeah except if displaying the image requires "contrast" or "pixels changing position over time"
In any case apple choosing a random snowflake resolution thats just standard high res + 1 so their fanboys can say they're LITERALLY THE BEST AT EVERYTHING sure is effective
The point is its arbitrary.
Other monitor manufacturers make standard res displays because theres no benefit to breaking that. Adding more pixels to displays isn't difficult, selling random non standard res displays to customers is.
bc they went with more and more resolution instead of implementing subpixel font rendering
so you need to get way more advanced hardware just to have parity with a random windows machine

are you moronic?
this is about motion clarity.
dragging a screen around on such a display leaves quite some ghosting.

Why would Apple displays support G-Sync if their computers can't use Nvidia GPUs?
It doesn't, and it doesn't support vrr in general.
Most people who buy Macs probably aren't buying them for gaming.

At 27" there are no other display offering such a high level of clarity. Cope.

Bit of an understatement when the competition needs 40" to get the same resolution vs 27".
The point is its arbitrary.
Other monitor manufacturers make standard res displays because theres no benefit to breaking that. Adding more pixels to displays isn't difficult, selling random non standard res displays to customers is.
5k is to 1440p as 4k is to 1080p. It's not an arbitrary design choice.

Apple sloppers are delusional.
Because they cant do a %400 markup if they used a better panel
The whole display industry is decades behind CRTs
>just blink during movement, bro
it's a fricking tragedy
