Pure wannabe MFA schlock >tookys
Pure schlock written by a moron for morons who have read fewer than 10 books in their entire life and could not identify good prose if it smacked them in their extra chromosome

i have no opinion of the writers you're seething about
stop deflecting and pyw, troll
Most lit writing reads like somebody having a mental breakdown so I like micz for just doing normal stuff. I don't know if schizo posting is just the limit of people's skill or if we take it from somewhere but this shit needs to stop.

Schizo posting is the defining feature of/lit/'s artistic voice. May as well say that the impressionists used too many brush strokes.

Because I'm already publishing on substack and life is too short to have half a dozen social media accounts running simultaneously

Interesting. I might start a platform there.
How much do writers there usually make? And is literary fiction accepted there or does it lean more onto genre fictions like RoyalRoad?
I don't think any of them make money.
I remember micz taking about how the substack was useful for getting published but otherwise I think it's all people doing it for free
Looking at the average category, even those that tend to be male heavy, i'd say so.
Even in fantasy there's only one in the top 95 that i'd say is aimed at men. All the others are either for women or gay smut for women.
At least qidian/webnovel separates categories into male and female leads.
Wattpad was the hottest shit when I was a young teen, and it mostly catered to that demographic. Is there anything worth reading these days? I logged once for the nostalgia and my library was full of teen romance, smut and thrillers.
Because magazines publish my work for me already. Unless you're good enough to get published or are happy to write YA/fanfic stuff, you shouldn't jump to dumping your stuff online.

I already follow a few lit substacks and those are all solid.
What kind of IQfy work gets traction on substack?

I know that there are some authors who make bank but I think they are nonfiction.

My ex was into the wattpad coomer content
I've heard if your story isn't some kind of vampire romance it basically gets no traction on Wattpad. Is that true?

My agent has advised me to avoid social media and the like. She thinks my inability to suffer fools will be bad for sales and she is probably right.
Because you don't make any money off of it and most of the content on there is Twilight fanfic or whatever the frick.

I have posted my work on Wattpad. It gets no engagement whatsoever.
The same work on Scribblehub and RoyalRoad gets far more engagement.
