I mean if you're making $100k/yr here, you're richer than 99.99+% people. If you're very good, you can make $50-70k/yr and trust me, that's a LOT of money here. But living in a nice, big apartment in the city center costs you around $1-1.5k/month.

i did hear from an acquaintance that worked at a startup in SF that 120k in that area is poverty level, which sounds funny
