Why did the people of Asian decide it was easier to develop monolid eyes rather than make protective eye-wear?

Europeans developed eye protection from blizzards too. They simply developed eyes further in the skull. Same purpose, different evolution.

They probably didn't, they were just raped so much by ANEs they all carried it eventually.

They needed it, so did Steppe peoples and Khoi in desert areas.

Why do Chinks have slit eyes when they don't need it in their climate? Rape.

ANE didn't have monolids and chinese are not raped by ANEs.

They did both and those monolids can be seen as either a natural byproduct of losing a browridge and having excess skin and fat forming around the eyes instead the ridge or selection AFTER losing the browridge. Populations with browridges do not develop monolids as there is no need or it is literally physically impossible.

Many arabs have flat rounded brows and yet still no monolids so that supports selection. On the contrary many babies and kids have pseudo monolids giving more support for byproduct of losing ridge. I say both contributed?

Hooded eyes also support selection as many nordic and eastern euros have skin UNDER the browridge despite not losing any ridge. Asian monolids are obvioisly not hooded in the same way but it is still proof of independent skin selection outside of bone ridge

          Final.
I say selection is more likely after thinking about the pseudo monolids in juveniles/females... I notice that mostly european juveniles get these and it is rare in for example middle eastern juveniles. Thus I think that those are simply the hooded eyes without the brow ridge fully developed yet. So yeah, monolids are a hooded eye variant with some fat minus the browridge.

It's how the eye sockets collapse when the bones can't grow because of malnutrition. The asian one appears to save more resources, but puts more pressure on the eye, and makes them less vulnerable to schizophrenia at the cost of being more vulnerable to bad eyesight.

Mongoloid form is an extreme example of a "survive at all costs" phenotype.

To some degree you can attest similar types of development in other populations too. This is a reduced Cromagnoid, an extremely infantilized Baltid woman, a babyfaced "survive at all costs" of sorts dysgenic phenotype.

A sphere (which means babyface) would have the lowest ratio of surface area to volume, hence be less susceptible to external temperature change

It's from malnutrition, as there isn't enough resources for the face to fully grow.

          >makes them less vulnerable to schizophrenia
          How so?

          [...]
Babyface could also be cold resistant, no? Fewer extreme projecting points (the things that typically get frostbitten).

Resources are saved for the brain.

It makes some sense but european and siberian Hunter Gatherers didn't develop these traits, and them as HGs would have the most natural selections, no? They lived the longest in subarctic or even fully arctic conditions with the least technology.

Asians are southern pygmies that had to adapt to colder environment very fast. Selection and bottlenecks probably caused their unusual look.
ANE actually evolved in cold climates in a more natural way. Like other northern animals they were tall, muscular and hairy. All ANE-related populations inherited these traits.

also, the Chinks are not a race that developed in the conditions of the far north; before the Neolithic, only ANE rich populations lived in the Arctic; the Mongoloids lived in the subtropical regions of the Yellow River.

Nobody really lived in Siberia during the LGM. ANE were nested in Kazakhstan for that period. Central and Northern China were pretty cold then with more or less Arctic climates.

Earliest ANE find is in literal deep as you get Siberia in Yana however the LGM made ANE move a bit south to lake Baikal, still in Siberia. They were as humanly possible close to Siberia out of all people.

    Hooded eyes =/= monolids
Monolids are skin and fat forming around the eye in part due to lack of browridge but also selection. Hooded eyes meanwhile is just skin hanging over the eyes from under the brow. Brow ridges can be prominent and eyes can still be hooded.

why did europeans develop light eyes even though it fricking hurts to open your eyes on sunny days???
each time summer comes around im reminded why i dislike going outside during summer, its because i have to squint like a fricking mole for my eyes not to be obliterated

Light eyes became fixated in WHGs and only rare in CHGs and EHGs. It seemed to benefit the dark forest enviroments of Europe but not the arctic as it could cause snow blindness. In CHGs and ANF it stayed rare and was only an aesthetic choice. Probably formed in an early west eurasian and later fixated in WHGs living in forest of little sunlight.

Skill issue. Wear eye protection regardless instead of being a moron and suffering like that. God you suck at life anon. If you have blue eyes, then enjoy slightly enhanced vision in low-light and dark environments.
      simple as

Sexual selection is also part of evolution. Minor advantages can become massive advantages at scale. All part of evolution, just like hooded eyes, monolids, etc etc
