>They don't manufacture everything in the US but they are making attempts to move some to the US
No American is gonna work for Chinese factory slave pay
I have a MSI creator 15 laptop and the sound jumps between normal to low volume at random.
I didn't notice it until recently because I use headphones most of the time.
got a new msi z690 mobo that sings when i play games. the vrms whine loudly.
new msi 3070 ti whines a bit, but not as loud as the mobo. and 2 of the 3 fans have sound issues, one squeals, one rattles at about 40-50% speed.
new msi psu, the fan bearing makes a low buzz when it spins that i can hear from a few metres away.
fairly new msi monitor has awful banding from cold starts that last a few minutes sometimes. it obscures the screen significantly until it clears.
i dont want to give them back until i can buy non-msi replacements as i fear i will have to wait at least a month to get them back from the factory.
They are boring.
Can't just produce boring PC parts anymore.
Not saying MSI doesn't participate in all the bullshit of the PC market but they seem to be the only ones to make sane components without some bullshit compromise or value-add that actually doesn't add value for the end user
Can you guess why it's wet? The VRM would get so hot it boiled the oil out of thermal pads.
And here's a classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zTzpYjQ2MM
I stick to Asrock and Gigabyte, I can't justify the extra cost of Asus. They do have more refined UEFIs I admit
They make decent motherboards (except for on the low end sometimes from what I've gathered), but their other products can be not so great. I just bought an msi motherboard on the cheaper side, but it is one of the good ones supposedly.
I almost bought an msi monitor once, but now I am glad I didn't from what I've heard about their peripherals.
I've come to learn to NOT by from the expensive brands like Asus. They have a reputation to uphold at the highest ends of streamer/YouTube gay boards, but the day to day consumer boards leave something to be desired. They abandon their boards too and fail to provide updates. Msi and asrock especially will support their products for a really long time I've found. There isn't anything impressive from them, but they are daily drivers.
>buy top of the line MSI motherboard >DAC pops on startup so the entire fricking house knows when I turn on the PC. >Memory won't conform to XMP profile. >Unintuitive OC and voltage settings (But they do work when configured at least). >Chip layout doesn't conform to ATX standards so custom bracket is needed to mount aftermarket heatsink & fans but this was only one of their ITX boards I dealt with. >fails about 2 weeks later
This is every MSI motherboard I've ever bought. I've gone through 3 of them before I finally told myself I'm never buying MSI again. For better or worse I've got an ASRock motherboard that's never given me a bit of trouble.
If MSI weren't so shitty they wouldn't be hated on so much.
>MSI B550 board >whines >MSI B450 board >networking cuts out at random and the bluetooth occasionally doesn't work at all >how to fix? >turn PC on >turn power off at the wall >turn PC off at the power supply >turn PC on at the power supply >turn power on at the wall >voila
Glad I got rid of those boards. Never buying MSI again.
they haven't bought one in the past years
They do?
I don't dislike MSi but at the same time I don't trust any foreign tech company
What choice do you have really for domestic HW mfrs?
There is Supermicro
They don't manufacture everything in the US but they are making attempts to move some to the US
To be fair what motherboard company has good service? Asus and Gigabyte have notoriously been horrible.

They already have US made SKUs
Have fun finding a monitor that’s made in the US Black person

I have a MSi GE 62 laptop from like 2016. It still works great. Never understood the hate for MSi.
Dino open his mouth because that girl is touching his dick lmao
*Dino's opening
They generated some youtube controversy for being shitty people but their GPUs and mobos are alright.

How are their ssds?
All SSDs are just rebadged chinkshit. Only difference is the drive controller.
I love it

Gamers Nexus said they're bad
Shitty customer service in my experience
Mobo is fine, cases are garbage, marketing is autistic.
You should only ever get a motherboard or graphics card from them.
Their prices above average due to ad campaigns.
MSI always was an underdog company. Asus always got all the attention but MSI always had the better boards. Recently they have been fricking up.
I associate MSI with unacceptably high temperatures.
Since when did they have a derpy cartoony looking dragon as their mascot
honestly idk I don't think I've ever bought an MSI product for whatever reason, although I considered one of their b550 boards a few years back.
I ended up sticking with Asus though cause I've never had a problem with their mobos, and I always get EVGA gpus
idk I'm ASUS for life.
their a big fish tech company still acting like a little fish mostly because they're Chinese run.
