Lots of reasons. Fiction can be fun, inspirational, interesting, compelling, emotional, and informational.
Personally most of the fiction I read is in Japanese, so it's studying for me.
In general if you're learning a language I think it's better to do so with fiction than nonfiction as you'll be less likely to misread something important and fill your brain with incorrect information.
Well more broadly I read literature which is I suppose fiction but also poetry
There's just nothing else more fulfilling than literature
Because I’m not autistic, I can appreciate art and entertainment, and often one can learn more about life from fiction than simply facts from nonfiction

>Why do you read fiction books?
Because I like it. I don't feel the need to justify my every action.

>please give me an argument for x
>i dont give arguments for x

Personal enjoyment is the argument.
>He doesn't read fiction books
Entertainment, relaxation, and wish fulfillment.
There's no such thing as non-fiction
esoteric knowledge communicated in an entertaining way
Its maeks my brains feels gooders
What do you mean? Fiction are pretty much the only books worth reading. Why, what do you read, self help books and science journals?
It tells me about what it means to be human through lots of different human experiences.
