Why does it seem like there's a cult around this distro?
>people say it's "bsd-like", when the only BSD-ism it has is a repo with shell scripts to build binaries that can be installed with xbps
>git cabal decided to remove all crypto wallets from it's repo and source package repo
>opaque leadership and funding, small cabal of seemingly mentally unstable / [adjective] maintainers
>no wiki or forum, ensuring only those who use git and have a github account are able to help add to their official docs.
>intellectually impaired management of shlibs requires juggling within the textfile when you use xbps-src

Good to know, thanks fren.
>git cabal decided to remove all crypto wallets from it's repo and source package repo
op is a seething pajeet
>nooo why don't they include my obscure meme package!!!
t. jia tan
only indians are interested in crypto? dude lmao
nobody needs your casino malware anymore, crypto is dying
the monero wallet isn't malware. your grasp on english is not good. please get some more practice in before typing in this language.
coincidentally, a lot of linux malware is somehow connected to the crypto world
truly a mystery
>your grasp on english is not good
kek, pajeet is trying his best to clear his name
clear my name of what? using monero? your posts aren't coherent
How do you pay for a IQfy pass or VPN then? Credit card? Lmao
you're arguing with a bot
WTF I love Void now
jajaja te lo mereces gilipollas
what hrt does to a mf
who does it?
what goes on with it?
never really hear about it and I don't know
but it does runit well
Did maintainers really die from the coof?
Why did you post this thread again?
because i wanted to LOL
tbh I never could get past the cringe edgelord name
I hate that it's so good compared to other distros. It's extremely simple, easy to use, has good naming conventions, and is the only rolling release that doesn't break. The name, the logo, the maintainers, the average users are all shitty. Im embarrassed to tell people I use it because it seems like a toy distro and has a stupid name.
>It's extremely simple, easy to use, has good naming conventions, and is the only rolling release that doesn't break.
>dracut-uefi's kernel hook is broken and will look in the wrong place by default for the efistub pulled in by it's dependancy gummiboot-efistub
it's almost impressive how they managed to frick up a shell script
>what is alpine
this
I would agree if it shipped KDE wayland pipewire by default
combine those with runit, rolling release and you have a godtier distro
>the only rolling release that doesn't break.
because they update their packages every 6 months when they can be bothered?
anyway have you actually used other rolling release distros or are you just trying to vaguely justify your choice?
Is Arch too mainstream for you or something?
Just use OpenSUSE Tumbleweed
paper42
everything special about it alpine does better
alpine isn't libc-agnostic, that's pretty special
void musl is pretty broken
>Linux trannies mutilating Linux in to a BSD knock off
YOU WILL NEVER BE A REAL OS
>ensuring only those who use git and have a github account are able to help add to their official docs.
Why are you listing this as a negative?
>be greybeard who doesn't have a github.com account / never learned git and is used to svn/cd-rom/nfs source control
>be locked out of contributing to docs
There are literally thousands of tutorials on how to branch, add, commit, push, and then make a pull request. If you're too moronic to follow a set of instructions, you shouldn't be contributing to the docs anyway
or just have a fricking wiki lmao
>or just remove a competence filter
how is locking your documentation behind a fricking source control system a "competence filter"? no sane organization does that. bear in mind, void is not ran in a sane manner by any metric, has no real leadership or funding. this is the REAL reason it has no wiki/forum. having that requires money, which no one is willing to handle for legal reasons
>has no real leadership
this is what also makes it special, the council of elders / consensus-based governance model
>council of elders
and as it happens, they're all insane
>this is what also makes it special, the council of elders / consensus-based governance model
i don't get the other guys obsession with wikis, i agree official documentation is superior. but you're wrong about this, the trannies literally couped the based schizo founder who was responsible for anything good that remains

i wish it weren't so but xtraeme showed that his personal issues were too severe for him to be relied on when he just went MIA for an extended period and the users basically had to fork it
it was essentially a troony power grab using troony justifications like he being hecking rude and mean words to finally take over. kicking on a man lying down fighting for custody for his beloved kids makes it all even worse
void without xtraeme is nothing. void is now a directionless meme, totally redundant in the face of alpine
>void is now a directionless meme
which is unfortunate, but par for the course for something with zero leadership whatsoever. one of the least insane people ought to become BDFL and start working on funding to address it's worst problems
who runs this page?
my mom
>Gentoo Luke Smith fans
>Arch gays
>Complaining about Void users
>no wiki or forum
You're blind?
Is that a question?
Yes
Because its full of drama behind the scenes.
