"new user" is such a ridiculous concept anyway. It is predicated on the assumption that learning how to do tasks in your OS via a command line etc., is somehow a skill and not an inconvenience.
You aren't a "new user" in windows because you don't know how to cmd or powershell everything, you are just a user who likely has a real-world skill that you happen to use computer software for.
A movie editor likely doesn't know a great deal about their OS but they can use editing software better than anyone, same for graphics design, writers, anything that a computer can be used for.
It's the exclusion of this type of user and an assumption that "you vill code the feature" "you vill learn the commands" that just turns people into programmers and the least actually creative people on the planet.
Not only that but there is nothing an advanced user can't do on mint as opposed to debian/arch, you're just scared of looking like a "new user" AKA a normal fricking person that does WORK.
