It’s true. I lived the van life for a bit, it sucks. No bathroom, no shower, hot af inside during the summer. Cold af inside during the winter. It’s just a safe place to sleep when you are homeless. That’s it. Great if you are homeless, but it’s a shitty situation.
I’m 6’3” so it would be miserable. also it’s just live in ze pod but on wheels. all of the van life videos on youtube just seem miserable. these people do sponsorships for betterhelp for a reason.
I knew a girl in college who lived in a van
I asked her how much money she's saving and she told me that renting would only cost her about $100/month more than her vanlife but she did it because she likes the lifestyle
she rented an apartment a year later because maintenance costs were too high after the van kept breaking down
>why haven't you taken the vanpill yet?
because of this
>maintenance costs were too high after the van kept breaking down
but a friend of mine bought himself a van recently is planning to do the same but as a hobby, the van is a VW TS4 he got for under 10 grands
No. I'm a pull camper supremacist. Why? Let me tell you the ways:
1. Lower gas consumption. Once you park it at the campgrounds you don't need to move it anymore. Your car will be more efficient than hauling a van filled with stuff.
2. Better creature comforts, more space.
3. You don't have to tie everything down every time you want to drive somewhere.
4. And very important: you don't have to leave your entire home at the mechanic's when you have an issue. Just the car.
and there are even more benefits. If you are traveling with a companion you don't have to take them with you just because you need to drive somewhere. They can stay comfy in the campgrounds.

You forgot one thing. The $150/night camping spot fee which makes your camper dumb as frick.
I can literally park almost anywhere in my van for free.
I probably spend more nights on average at planet fitness' and such in small cities where I am still a close drive out to nature. Though I definitely go out into the woods sometimes and just post up somewhere for a full week where I don't have to drive at all
Sounds comfy anon, my job pays 140k but I need to travel between a handful of cities. Most are expensive(besides Phoenix kinda) so I was looking into van life
What van/s would you recommend? I want to be a van neet where I can be comfy spending a week in there. But also can disappear and drive (very) long distances.
>No metal shutters over windows >No hidden surveillance camera equipment >No shotgun and flare gun inside van >No low power computer equipment to run monero node with starlink equipment
Absolutely worthless. How are you supposed to protect yourself against skin walkers in the woods or Haitian migrant/fentanyl cannibal hordes in the city?
Because I could buy a condo for the price of that fricking yuppie homosexual van
christ ALMIGHTY those feet must fricking STINK. just IMAGINE the smell
There's nothing hotter than getting a footjob by feet with blue toenails. I don't care how bad her feet smell.
I poop too much
>vanpill
That van all done up like that is probably around $150,000. Her parents probably sponsored it.
basically this. van life is either for trust fund w*men or fentanyl addicts. there's no in between

I'm not a 4ft tall hobbit like she is

If you have to lie to make your idea sound appealing maybe you should reconsider it.
looks horrible
Because living in a pod is cope. Imagine raising a family in this.

Avoid being miserable in a van down by the river
WHAT ARE THOSE
I do live in my van, it's great AMA.
I save a bit over a grand a month compared to my mortgage (I rent my house out)
I have been to a dozen or so states, and just left sequoia National Park
I hike/mountain bike/kayak pretty much every day
I work remote and make just over 6 figs
It is quite lonely since I am not very social so I will be moving back into my house end of summer (I've been doing it for 2 years)
Van makes sense for this lifestyle, so long as you are actually traveling. If you can make money in the road, the absolutely go for it.
What are your go to parking spots? In the woods or outside planet fitness?

Sounds lame.
Any good recs for a van I could get maybe second hand?
What van/s would you recommend? I want to be a van neet where I can be comfy spending a week in there. But also can disappear and drive (very) long distances.
Anyone have recs on pre made vans or vans people use normally? I'd also take cheap RVs
because im not indian
>falling for the gasoline israelite
Van life has freedom, but boat life frees you from society’s bullshit and gets you laid.
So you’re essentially paying to be homeless? I’ll pass
