Why is all the soulful technology disappearing? It feels technology peaked 20 years ago and the world is going backwards now. I don't think anyone even knows how to create intricate mechanical assembly lines like this anymore.

For comparison, here's what "modern" manufacturing looks like.
>Created by machines
Soulless
>Assembled by human hands
Soul
>bugpeople
>human
i would rather have it all automated.
we're regressing because we allow corporations to use off-shore facilities and import third worlders for cheap labor.
This is really why the Romans didn't advance into the industrial age. They just relied on slave labor instead of coming up with smarter ways of doing things.
this is what they took away from us
>muh plasticerinoooooo
silly aesthetics aside, to be back in the time when those laptops were current, SIGH
hurts man
caveman tier
>old good, new bad. im somewhat of a deep thinker
there is no such thing as soulful technology. You just feel nostalgia in your own weird, autistic way.
nostalgia's for geeks
>I don't think anyone even knows how to create intricate mechanical assembly lines like this anymore.
wat
there are like hundreds if not thousands of videos on youtube of highly intricate factory automations
Then why is all manufacturing outsourced to shitholes with cheap labor now?
it's not moron. Also you'd be surprised how much automation is in the shithole factories too.
No. you are simply crazy. Everything is easier now. The only thing that has regressed is webdesign because of smartphones
if it is so easy why don't you start a business and make a new product? in the 90s you could see many new companies in the west producing everything from hardware to softrware, now you have everything made in china hardware wise and software is stuck in 2012 at best, if not worse: has transitioned and now 1000 jannies bann everything they dislike.
>I don't think anyone even knows how to create intricate mechanical assembly lines like this anymore.
~~*they*~~ gave up on this because most modern technology is only meant to be manufactured for a year or two tops before the next version is pushed to keep the marketing buzz alive. there's no point in creating a fully automated phone assembly line if you're already planning the next version from it's inception. just train the bugmen on the changes and move on
Let's be honest here, you don't know shit about real tech. You have very surface level knowledge about most technology in your life, and you haven't created any technology of note. You are not smart enough to understand or implement any kind of advanced programming logic, you don't know how electronics work and cannot design anything. Considering all this, are you really the person to judge if tech is "soulless" now?
We are living in the most fun and interesting time in history, tech wise. You fail to see it because you are a luddite in all sense of words.
Why would you want a bunch of plastic shit lying around?
These days you can simply download more memory if you run out.
