It isn't hard, it's just that most Christians aren't seriously interested in avoiding the sin. If they were, they would put in the work to read and apply what the saints and tradition advise. One very common ommision is the absence of any understanding of the idea of occasions of sin. Basically, no exposure, no temptation, no sin. And yes, it is that simple. How many times must I explain this? We evolved to live as hunter gatherers. Lust therefore evolved for that type of environment. In modern society is not as adaptive, especially due to the existence of social media and pornography, and the fact that you can’t just have sex with random women and expect no negative consequences to follow. We are simply not biologically designed for modern society. We are still evolving. Only those who are able to control their lust properly, or those for whom it’s not such a problem in the first place, will survive and reproduce. At the very least, porn addicted losers will not make it.
