95% of threads shouldn't be posted then because everything is searchable in the archive.

Yes. Your low-effort, low-quality post is moronic. Suck start a shotgun.

I really like Gombrowicz. I had a great time reading Ferdydurke last year when I was on holiday. He has a very wry sense of humour. I liked it very much. I keep meaning to read cosmos.

        >I have only read one book by him and I really like him. Trust me, OP. I have read him. So here’s a meaningless and vacuous post that says nothing even remotely insightful or interesting about Gombrowicz and is actually me sniffing my own rancid, unread, moronic fats, since I am absolutely unable to critically examine anything I read and my extent of criticism is: i like this, I don’t like that

Mr. Redditor, are you using words that you don’t know the meaning of again and just saying them on the internet?

I like his books. I got his diary and transatlantic cheap at a used bookstore as semi-blind purchases and loved his perception of things and creativity. As an aside, in some book by Reinaldo Arenas, maybe Before Night Falls but possibly another, he remarks that's he knows Gombrowicz and that Gombrowicz, after he first fled to Argentina, made ends meet by being a male prostitute in Argentinian bathhouses. It's not slander, he's speaking of him as a friend he has sympathy for.

Oh, I also remembered her ended up marrying some weird Québécoise lady. I'm from Montreal so think I heard of him a bit through that connection before I read him.

Pornografia, Kronos are fantastic. Trans-Atlantyk was a bit too much for me, but still quite good. Bruno Schulz is also great from Poland.
