woman kept 7500 browser tabs open

She opened 7500 browser tabs and didnt close

https://www.verkkouutiset.fi/a/nainen-piti-nettiselaimessaan-avoinna-lahes-7500-valilehtea/

She kept them open for 2 years. Browser has an option "re open all the tabs you had previously open" she did just that, every time

Eventually though through forced system update all her browser settings were gone including the tabs, but it took 2 years for this to happen

Why are the typical moronic things a woman does still worthy of an article?

This. For as "leaky" as firefox is, I literally do this same thing with youtube tabs. I know it'a not a good habit, but until the tab is actually loaded, it's just a symbolic link to a url and a cookie. I do purge the ones in the back of the "list" sometimes, but I really just need to stop watching so much slop.

i tend to try to keep my tab list under 500, right now i'm at 250
          >inb4 just use bookmarks
no, that's just more clicks. i only use bookmarks for very specific things (namely things i both know i will want in the future AND is not easy to remember where it is or what it's called AND isn't something i can just save, together it's a pretty rare combination)

I don't give a frick about how you use tabs, moron.
The default behavior of browsers is to unload some tabs if you have too many. There is nothing to debate about this.

i have thousands of tabs open regularly. There aren't really issues since tabs in the background are unloaded. I did this for a long time with only 8gb ram and it never used anywhere near that.

Black folk, I got 16gigs and had Waterfox at 3500 tabs across five windows with TreeStyle Tabs to manage that shit.
It might also have been when I was still using a Haswell i5, before upgrading to Ryzen. In which case it would be 12GB of RAM.
Nowadays I'm down to about fifty in Waterfox in a single window and three Edge windows with about 250 total.

I'm very confused by all the pajeets claiming that even hundreds of tabs is supposedly impossible.

And no, I can't make it bookmarks, because bookmarks suck ass. Storing, finding, loading and deleting them is a hassle. Tabs got your back.

how would anyone know that a random woman has X tabs open on her PC? This is only "interesting" if it would happen naturally by her tech illiteracy, but then who would know? and how would they know how many tabs if it suddenly didn't open again one day? If this was intentional then who cares, anyone can just keep opening tabs

Not that odd, there's ways to see, about:debugging has the numbers for example. More likely it's the shutdown message, this is Brave but I'm fairly sure FF has a similar message.

I use Tabs Outliner and it shows you the total number of tabs at all times. If she was using something like that (and it seems likely that someone with 7500 tabs would do so...), it makes sense she'd have a more accurate idea of how many there were.
