I got a genetic mutation, it's pretty severe in men and rarer in men. Men who get it don't live too long and most of them kill themselves rather than live a life without pain, the things they enjoyed doing or having kids.
Because the condition is rarer in men, everything to do with it is very woman-centric down to regional support groups which have in most cases no male representation; so they're bullied out by the cliques that form.
When men voice issues related to male issues such as suicide in your prime it is shrugged off largely. If they want to discuss the difficulties of relationships with women (the kids angle) it's largely shrugged off too and most of the people in the group are actively in a relationship and chose to have children despite knowing they'd pass down the same mutation.
