Woolf

Did she write something worthwhile or is she just another writer who is only famous for being a woman?

Pseuds are gonna hate me but she's legitimately great and worth the hype, Mrs. Dalloway is one of my favorite novels ever.

I'd start with Dalloway, it's short and will give you a pretty good idea of whether you'll like her particular approach to stream-of-consciousness.

      >Pseuds
You mean incels, right? Oh, wait...

Regardless, Woolf is an all-time English language great.

She makes an homage to Ulysses in To the Lighthouse.

what a fricking moronic question. She is goated, better than most of the tripe posted on this board.

the ones to read are: Orlando, Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse; The Waves as extra credit

You could mint a PhD recuperating her debt to Walter Pater... (that's a million dollars worth of game posted for free on an incel image board lmao - but I have received a handful of good book recs from IQfy so have no problem sharing it here)

agree, but I chalk it up to jealousy

Holy shit, rare entirely based IQfy thread. Nature is healing.

Didn't she do this to make fun of the British navy though? It was a disguise to sneak on the HMS Dreadnaught and make the military look stupid, no?

Nabokov already dropper the redpill, all women writers are trash.

Nabogay was trash himself. I don’t think he’s the one to preach to us about good writers

She's okay. Most of her fame comes from being the only women worth mentioning from her time. Participation trophy shit really.

Mrs. Dalloway and The Waves are decent. Her problem is she doesn't have a lot to say and seems to think third person is the best tool for depicting a stream of consciousness writing style which she at least finally figured out she was wrong about when she started writing The Waves. But that segues into her other major issue: she has very little interest or insight into anyone but herself. Septimus is herself, at least twice she wrote a story about two guys who pine over a 40-50 year old woman (lol, AT LEAST it made some kind of sense in Dalloway because she was the one that got away decades prior but come on girlboss, get real), and The Waves despite having the viewpoint of multiple characters is really just her own personality split into a bunch of different people

Mrs Dalloway and The Waves. the rest is trash

No she is legit. A true author that drowned herself because of the voices in the brain. Very sad. Many such cases.

    >there's no way it can be good, a woman wrote it!
    very silly!
