HDR might be a meme, but ICC profiles aren't. Pro photography requires ICC profiles to have an accurate printing process.
Dumb monkeys keep hyping for HDR to sell new expensive monitors, but never care about 99% Adobe RGB colorspaces nor ICC profiles.

Why do you need Photoshop profiles on Xorg or Wayland? You forgot Photoshop is not available for Linux

I'm a little worried though. I think those trannies would implement the whole thing in a way that makes even more unnecessary fingerprinting. It's possible to not leak yet more fingerprinting, but those guys are just lusty for new ways to abuse privacy. It's preferable to not have the feature at all than to implement it leaking yet more metadata to random clients.

Funny thing is that chromium already partially supports hdr on x11 and not wayland. If you run in 10 bit mode in x11 and open uoutube in chromium it will give you the hdr quality option. If you just enable hdr in the xorg server (in the modesetting driver) the chromium will automatically work with hdr.
