>Catholic church claims to be the one true church.
>Their official bible is the vulgate.
> Opens up Genesis.
> It gets the first verse wrong.

Protestants, especially evangelicals, are killing the religion btw.
    Also Lucifer isn't Satan.
Also most christians don't read the Bible.
Also biblical Satan vs non biblical Satan is unreal.
Also eternal damnation is not biblical.

The Vulgate is literally older than any protestant bible, so it's more accurate to say that the protestant bibles are "wrong".

      What's a "protestant" Bible?

        The Masoretic.

The King James translated the greek. Not sure where you think there's a contradiction between the two.

Not without errors, the NASB corrected them.

The NASB was written by freemasons. Do you just hate the english language or something? Because it's very confusing what problem you have with the KJV outside of hating the Bible in it's entirety.

Not a problem for me. If you're an esl you can always read a translation in your native language, I'm sure there's one good one out there.

We use KJV in church relax. And the DRB. And the original MSS. Bible study is a life long thing. And the NASB is the ASV which is the KJV, which we use in church. You should come sometime.
Remember that you are not ordained and have no authority to teach scripture. The church gave us the Holy Bible.

Is your church a freemason's lodge? You should study the nature of those translations; the NASB is a corruption with the intent to subvert.

I didn't ask what church, I asked if your local church specifically has a freemason in charge.

            >local
I confess I belong to heaven, earth is not my home.

            >mason
Nope, crusading against yid mason antichristians. I am PLO if anything, I can throw that up. Currently banned from /misc/ for saying Christ is King.

Warrrup blood? You baptized in the water and the spirit? You ready to crusade on the synogogue of satan, the crucifiers of Christ, the yiddish jesuit freemasonic central banker pencil pushing slave merchant israelite penguin pansy ass?

You rolling with Jesus? Then you roll with Church! We a family, live and die for Him.
Faith comes by hearing listen to my ESL I'm closer to Him mystically.

The Vulgate is not supposed to be infallible as a translation. The Catholic Church only ever claimed that it was free of theological and moral error. By the way, what you point out is just an instance of the Vulgate following the conventional translation. But it has even goofier mistakes, like Moses having horns for instance, which mistakes have been well-known by Catholics since the Renaissance.

    >protestants think they can correct the greek translation using the King James Version because if God didn't want that translation he wouldn't have made it so popular for so long

        >The King James translated the greek.
Only the New Testament (and the Deuterocanon, with 1st edition). KJV used the Masoretic texts for the Old Testament.

I just have a problem with protestant preachers who think they can correct the original Greek with the King James Version, that's all

So you just hate people reading the Bible in the english language? Because there is no change in substance between the NT originally written in greek and the NT of the KJV.

      Moses
      >placed in a basket
      >calmly set in the reeds beside a river
      >to avoid infanticide and to be found
      >found and raised by royalty
      Sargon
      >placed in a basket
      >set adrift in river
      >no reason given
      >likely explanation is to commit infanticide by drowning to protect his mother's status as a virgin priestess
      >also likely written after the Moses story
