You don't need more than 1080p60fps at 24".
This monitor will outlast me as long as I keep it clean and don't damage it.
I built my current PC for less than $400 way back when, and I will never upgrade.

>60fps
why?
That graph shows that until 4K tech gets cheap enough like under $800 monitor and PC included to do 4K high refresh rate, It will be a meme.
Until 4K monitors are $250 for 170hz and PC gaming becomes more powerful 1080p still wins
1080p is still the king a decade and will probably be the king until 2030 or later
because you CAN'T SEE anything faster than 60hz
Watch this:
>marketing video
sure, yeah
Is it incorrect tho?
yes, because you literally can't see the difference. your brain can't process it. you are basically maxed out at ~50hz.
Enjoy your shadows and shit.
High FPS is irrelevant when ghosting is visible
We know, kid.
All current display tech is sample-and-hold, ghosting is inevitable
Why 24"? Why not 21.5"?
There's no high refresh rate 1080p 21" monitors that are also IPS that can be bought. I'm sure there might be some rare outlier.
Years ago I went to a 1440p 27" from a 1080p 24" and I honest to god couldn't tell any difference at 1440p in gaming, other than the scaling was much smaller and icons/text were smaller. I couldn't tell any difference.
Monitor I listed in photo has the best response times like 3ms total and overall near 300 nits and 1080p 165hz 24" all for fricking $125, It's insane. Koorui 24e3 is the best monitor you can buy.
As for internet, 1440p for bandwidth purposes is fricking useless anyways. Why pay $120 for goyslop internet in weimerica for fiber internet streaming/uploading 4k/1440p slop when a $30/month 4G LTE calyx hotspot with unlimited bandwith to torrent, stream 1080p, play vidya is quite literally all I need.
This, 24" is too mainstream now that iMacs come only in this size and even offices are buying them size en masse and it's a race to the bottom, the budget IPS ones have too much glow/backlight bleed
Whereas at 22" you can find monitors with over 3,000:1 contrast for like $70, it costs 40% less than a 24" and you only have to give up like 2 inches diagonal space
24" is so fricking small.
1440p 27" is perfection.
>needing more than pic rel
Pathetic
I'm ride or die 1080p 144hz. I have bad vision anyway and gain no real appreciable benefits from higher resolutions than 1080p even on big screens.
Based, I've had the same 21" 1080p75hz monitor for a decade now and with no plan to upgrade. The increasing focus on >60fps and 1440p+ means that my current hardware can STILL do 1080p60fps without any issue.
I wish they did 4k OLED at this size I love 24 inch, probably never gonna upgrade unless I see one

I'm running dual 27" 1440p 165hz monitors.
I'm set for life.
I'm running dual monitors of two different types which is pissing me off. I have two 25 inch 1080p monitors, but one of them is 144 hz and the other is 280 hz. I can visibly noticed the difference. Kill me.
You must be joking, I have one 60hz and one 144hz monitor, using both at the same time, and the difference is minimal.
I'm not the guy you replied to but I have a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor and the difference is definitely noticeable. The 144hz monitor feels way better overall.
1920×1200
>he has horizontal black bars when consuming content
>1920×1200
>27"
this is perfection for me
I run one of my 1080p monitors as a vertical monitor. Does that at least get me a little street cred?
>1080p60fps at 24"
The PPI is horrible at this size.
If you're going to stick with 60/75hz then you may as well get a 1920x1200p monitor. Asus even has a proart monitor in this resolution with 95+% dci-p3 coverage for less than 300 dollars.
Do you have more recommendations for monitors that focus on color accuracy and are cheap?
1080p 24" 240hz is king.
They literally botched 1080p res everywhere to sell 4k scheme to the masses.
1600x1200 + a 1440p 27" is best for me
