Security does not necessarily mean privacy.
Things might be open source or free but also have basic security measures such as patching exploitable bugs.

privacy doesn't mean being able to run naked in public either
Remember that for majority of internet's history, everything was plaintext and insecure, and noone cared. Some people still play those text based games on telnet in 2024 and enter their passwords for their accounts with no encryption
as long as you pay for the camera, don't bother removing the wifi chip from it though, I will do it myself, I will even resolder it correctly to send data directly into my NAS so you don't have to worry about it.
this assumes authority is competent, benevolent and always correct
only someone illiterate at history can hold this view, which is unfortunately 90% of humanity, so history will repeat
mountain of skulls incoming
I know that authority is incompetent that's why instead of encryption I use steganography. Every image I post online has a watermark in form of a BBC for example.
I unironically would do that if asked. However, I must tell you that I wasn't doing my job for past 15 years but used realistic randomization algorithm to create fake reports so I can post on IQfy while computer does all the work so the data might not be accurate.
Extend this principle to apply to everyone, including software megacorps and governmental agencies like the NSA. After all, if they are not doing anything bad they don't need the secrecy.
"hey Fbi, release publicly all the documents related to internal US operations from the creation of the bureau to this day, unredacted and uncensored. You have nothing to hide, right?"
"moron"
give me all your account password.

Security and privacy are not the same, brainlets.
«You close the bathroom door, don't you?»
Yeah, a lot of brainlets confuse privacy with security or anonymity, those three things are very different but equally important.
security and privacy is the same thing you moronic monkey if only you were half as intelligent as me.

gmail is secure as frick but it's certainly not private
ok post your nudes
"If you have no malicious intent, then you have no meaningful need"
I don't get it.
Remember that for majority of internet's history, everything was plaintext and insecure, and noone cared. Some people still play those text based games on telnet in 2024 and enter their passwords for their accounts with no encryption
I mean, even Sony does not encrypt their users data
And I'm talking about http websites, https is almost younger than me and I'm a newbie zoomer.
If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
can I install a security camera inside your room if you don’t have anything to hide?
You can, but it will cost.
as long as you pay for the camera, don't bother removing the wifi chip from it though, I will do it myself, I will even resolder it correctly to send data directly into my NAS so you don't have to worry about it.
"alright"
"not your god damn business"

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
Waste their time by not participating.
I unironically would do that if asked. However, I must tell you that I wasn't doing my job for past 15 years but used realistic randomization algorithm to create fake reports so I can post on IQfy while computer does all the work so the data might not be accurate.
>t. bootlicker
You will be the one licking the boot because contrarians get made example of while smart people just lie and agree with whatever.
Sounds about right. I dotn do bad things
>Nothing to fear, nothing to hide
should apply to the government alphabet soup as well, no double standards
Exactly.
I'm installing spy cameras in the FBI building to spy on the FBI.
What is that FBI you do not want this?
Looks like the FBI are criminals.
Post photos of your debit card or photos of your nasty anus, dirty homosexual. You have nothing to hide!
>nothing to hide
>Dude just give us your data
>let us make money off you
Frick off you c**t.

evil people can commit evil against you even if you're innocent
which is why I still don't bother encrypting my disk, if I had something to hide I'd be hiding the disk not data on it
It's like saying that we don't need freedom of speech cause you don't have anything to say.
freedom of speech isn't freedom from consequences lil timmy

I fear identity theft and the misuse of my local hardware through an insecure connection
I indeed have things to hide.
Hiding things doesn't mean they are shameful in nature, just you are not allowed to see them.
LIke my finances.
"Can I see pornography starring your mother?"
I do have things to hide. What now?
You are a criminal.
>Your response?

I'm shy (*ノωノ)
