I tried studying with a study stream a few months ago, he's just learning whatever. "just finished this react course, reads a book on electronics, plays around with C" when he's not doing school work that is.
eh he's like 22-23 and said he never studied in high school so I can sort of relate to studying a lot of different things now just to build a foundation and general basic understanding of things.
it would be except he's making that sweet sweet ytube ad money which is the real point of this, virtue signal good work ethic so all the bugmen strivers think he's a god or some shit
workaholism is a late-stage coping method. guy's definitely fricked up. >have nothing to do with yourself other than cooood for 12 hours >have nobody that cares enough to stop you
Last thread called this performative studying, I think that's a good term for this.
Stuff like this is more common than you would think. People who have a goal, and take actions to reach that goal.
People who don't know what they are doing imitate the actions of people who look like they know what they are doing.
This is how you end up with things like SOLID rather than actually measuring code performance and developer performance.
This is how you end up with studying for studying's sake. Which is subtly different from studying for learning’s sake.
It's not about effort it's about discipline and genuine appreciation. If you have a project to get done, sure that can consume an inordinate amount of time. If you're a law student and need to memorize tens of thousands of case documents then sure, with proper mnemonic tools, churning away at it ad infinitum can work. But if you're actually trying to learn something and get better at it, then this is a terrible approach.
what is he even learning lol

a lot of anons on the prev thread said he's going to kill himself. aside from him overworking to death, why's that the case?
Self-awareness.

hes not even doing real work, hes just part of the CS scam. so who cares?
You didn't write the code.

Sorry, I'm homosexual, but not a homosexual like you, OP.
