Terry Davis was one of the world's greatest programmers and he would have spit in your face and called you a Black person if you tried to give him a jeetcode problem to do in a job interview.
>If he was so great why did he kill himself as an unwashed hobo who got cucked by a Black person?
He had genetic bad brain chemistry and couldn't understand what money was but could understand writing a graphics library, pretty simple USA throws people who cant understand money out because we are homosexuals who cant lift a finger to do something about societal problems when we did a century ago and put them in looneybins or respectively with that kind of autism a decent room so he can finish his godly OS
The difference is that if Terry wanted to, he could still easily solve the problem. (You) hate LC because it filters your stupid ass, which is the entire purpose of LC.
I gave up on this shit after six months. Literal waste of time. I got turned down by so many jobs cause of these stupid tests. I'm pretty sure a lot of companies have turned away good programmers like me in droves, allowing for nepotism to control the FAANGs of the world.
I currently make six figures doing a development job that doesnt take my skills for granted. Leetcode is a skill but it doesnt teach you anything. Any basics of optimization and other such things are learned as you become a better programmer in general. Ive ran into so much production code that doesn't even bother to use the techniques they use, not to mention the thousands of libraries out there that give you ready made algoritms, it's a waste of time.

>business applications that run million dollar industries >increased efficiency internally hundred fold with automated programs and integration >created video games, which are already up there as one of the most difficult programs to ever make >created web applications and websites >managed and ran multiple servers both Windows and linux based
List goes on. And yet Google and Facebook had the audacity to turn me down cause I couldn't finish a Hard Leetcode problem.
It's just general experience. Ive been programming for 20 years.
Why would you want to work at some corporate hellhole job if you've done all those things? You wouldn't be doing anything even 1% as interesting or impactful at those companies.
True, which is why Im currently working for a local company making six figures. More relaxing, mostly remote, small rent cause my friend owns a house, it's comfy. If I had to work for Google or FB, I would have to suffer Washinton or California culture and economy. No thanks.
Although technically, you COULD make more out there based on what they pay.

I was on the fence of moving to those states to begin with prior to getting interviewed. The only way Id accept it is if the offers were sweet deals to makeup having to live in either of those places.

Oh I know. But sometimes you run into the introverts that dress pretty but are autistic behind the scenes and do not get much sex cause of her mindset. They're basically the "innocents' of the cosplay scene. I stay away from the tatt'd up prostitutes. They're easy to spot.

eh, you seem like you know what you're doing
call me a moronic tradlarp or whatever but I really hate the idea of my girl dressing attractive around other men, so I look for the girly ones who are best friends with their moms
the downside is that I can't really go far with it, can't get her to even dye her hair, makeup I have to convince her too and it's only once in a while because it's bad for skin, outfits I have to buy her shit and tell her to only wear it inside (which I could only do recently because you can't just do that immediately)
overall it's a lot of shaping the woman up in general, but I never have to worry about faithfulness or her even going anywhere without her parents or me
Is it bad practice to just solve a Leetcode problem using a built in function? Like the "Find the Index of the First Occurrence in a String" problem, you can instantly solve it with .find() but you're not really learning anything that way.
Just take a month or three and grind. Christ some of you are lazy. I went from $170k to $350k ( $500k with appreciation) by getting gud at leetcode. It is what it is.
>Pajeet didn't spill his spaghetti at the interview >pajeets hire only pajeets >cause of thick accent, can hardly ever understand them >they pass over you if they see youre not a pajeet like them
Why do they only care about IQ for software engineers then? Everyone else including the seniors managers and VPs that give all the coding teams marching orders don't take them, electrical/mechanical/aerospace/etc. engineers don't take them.
Because every SWE job posting is flooded with a torrent of CS bachelors and bootcampers who can't even solve Two Sum in O(n) time, and you need some way to filter out the candidates.
>can't even solve Two Sum in O(n) time
The O(n) solution is difficult to intuitively understand and nobody would write code like this in any codebase that many people will have to read and maintain. So leetcode is basically encouraging bad software engineering practices.

Except not really. You're assuming that tech autism goes in one direction instead of many.
If you deal with any industry, you get quizzed on technical aspects of things pertinent to that industry. For example, a technical interview for a job in medical records will ask you about HL7. In this case, knowing about HL7 is more important than knowing about hash maps or anything you're going to see on jeetcode.
This applies to every industry. Pick one out of a hat. They all need techies, but they need techies who know that industry. 75% of your final grade is knowing that industry. Maybe 20% is raw tech Asperger's.
I have a high IQ, but I'm a terrible performer. It's not about pressure, it's just when there's an interview going on, my brain focuses on the social interaction and nothing else. It's hard to think when you have some stranger breathing down your neck who is sizing you up.
I saw a permutations solution that was O(n!), and another that was "from itertools import permutations"
Leetcode is less a joke that the people taking it seriously. I use it more as a way to think about different problems and discover new/different ways of doing things.
No, I will not partake in your stupid programming puzzles that are only a waste of time when I can be using it to do things far more productive than grinding to be another cog in the west coast tech scene that is going to bust very soon.

dick sucking algorithms?
Is it bad practice to just solve a Leetcode problem using a built in function? Like the "Find the Index of the First Occurrence in a String" problem, you can instantly solve it with .find() but you're not really learning anything that way.
The spirit of Leetcode is to do things in ways that would get your ass beaten at work.
Just take a month or three and grind. Christ some of you are lazy. I went from $170k to $350k ( $500k with appreciation) by getting gud at leetcode. It is what it is.
Why do you need that much money?
To retire at 45 with a wife and kid moron and its not that much money on the west coast.
I'm not strong enough to say the words h****** ***** in public because Satan is my neighbour in hell
coding challenges are a legal form of iq test. if you struggle with leetcode style challenges you have an iq issue
>iq
Im pretty damn sure I and several of my peers are miles smarter than any pajeet working at Google rn
>but if they are making 500K and youre making shit, the pajeet is smarter
That's not how a meritocracy works in an aristocracy.
Then why can’t you topo sort a graph? Also I am more white than you are.
typedef adjacency_list< vecS, vecS, directedS, color_property<> > Graph;
typedef boost::graph_traits<Graph>::vertex_descriptor Vertex;
Pair edges[6] = { Pair(0,1), Pair(2,4),
Pair(2,5),
Pair(0,3), Pair(1,4),
Pair(4,3) };
Graph G(6, edges, edges + 6);
typedef std::vector< Vertex > container;
container c;
topological_sort(G, std::back_inserter(c));
Wow so impressive you can google/chatgpt something and copy paste. Also using Rust for these things is a reason you fail.
Pajeet didn't spill his spaghetti at the interview, Leetcode helps with that.
