I think Iowa City has a decent writers workshop thing, but I don't know if there's anything of value coming out of there, and its more of a college/NPR kinda thing
Iowa City is just a college town. Few of the writers in the Workshop are even notable at all.
Workshop's been surpassed imo. Ironically, one of the program's ahead of them is in an artsy city: Michener at UT Austin. Thing about these cities is that they court a type of person that IQfy types aren't fond of.
Kek, flyover soulless garbage. Imagine being told what to do by a workshop and thinking you can produce anything of creative value. The school of hard knocks makes the best writers.
