What's a decent air fryer for the EU market? So far I bought a Cosori Dual Blaze, and the touch screen display crapped out after a few uses. I plan on replacing it with picrel (Ninja AF180DE). My requirements so far would be (mostly) metal interior, real buttons and possible a dual basket design. So far I couldn't find any air fryer that could meet all the requirements. Any suggestions?

Dude, like, use your fricking heat gun and fry your fries with it. Where's the problem?
the heat of the air cooks the nigget
>Any suggestions?
learn how to cook
>he fell for the air fryer meme
>air fryer
Wtf do you want to fry air for? It's not gonna make it taste better
Xiaomi Air Fryer is a 10/10
This. All of the American brands are chinkshit anyway so might as well get it straight from the source.
>Xiaomi Air Fryer
>no real buttons
>small
>what is oil and oxidative stress
Tbh Idc about the brand/country at this point. Just it not being a piece of shit.
>no real buttons
It has one real button (the display is a clicky button) and one real scroll-wheel (the ring around the display).
It does everything you need, you can scroll through the presets, click to select, scroll through the temperature, scroll through the time, click to pause, hold to cancel, etc.
>>what is oil and oxidative stress
lol. you still use oil with air fryers. and all the frozen tendies and fries come with oil on them.
>connect air fryer to wifi
>mirrors everything on your network and sends it to a server farm in guangzhou
haha yeah, based
You don't have to connect it
>connect air fryer to wifi
don't do that then
Here I recorded it for you, it's perfectly usable.
Having 20 buttons on the front of your appliance is ugly and obsolete.
I don't know why you would choose pressing the "Plus Time" button 20 times when you could just turn the rotary dial instead
based scroll wheel enthusiast, mine has +/- buttons and you can't even hold the fricking things to increase without pressing n times
Looks alright, but I'm just fine with using the buttons on my OP picrel
That's why I mostly plan on using it for French Fries, warming up pastries and warming up leftovers.
Thanks for the detailed information. I originally planned to get a double basket air fryer (one for French Fries, other for meat). But now I'm just fine with one, like the one in my OP picrel.
>harder to clean
>not as good at air frying as an air fryer
From what I've heard, they're a "jack of all trades, master of none" type of appliance. I'll just use a regular oven for baking and roasting.
I chuckle
The black coating on the tray already come off. I'm worried for my health.
How did you manage that? Did you scratch it?
I'm using mine every few days for years and it looks like new
Shaking fries honestly, it's only the tray. Have only washed that thing with soft side of sponge.
Sounds like a warranty case.
I only wash mine in the dishwasher.
you know that plasticy smell when the air fryer heats up? thats leaking into your food too. just use your oven or learn how to fry food on the stove (with lard). air fryers are literally just ovens with a fan in them (and most household ovens come with that same fan.. convection). convection is a fricking meme though, it dries out food. the only reason to use a convection oven is if youre in a rush.
>plastic
That's why I want one with a metal interior like picrel (Ninja AF180DE)
>you still use oil
way less oil
>frozen tendies and fries come with oil on them
who said I was gonna eat that slop?
I wish the inside wasn't plastic
Try frying a whole turkey heh
None exist because humans are meant to eat fat. That's why we crave things like steak/bacon/butter so much. You can think of fat in animals like vitamin storage. That's why we have to grind down vitamin pills into cereal/rice.
All "air frying" really does is get rid of the thing that you're supposed to be eating. That's why you never feel full.
This is also why you shit your guts out after eating anything fried in seed oils. They don't really contain any vitamins but they do contain PUFAs which we're slowly starting to understand is bad for you.
All that cheap shit you put in air fryers is soaked in seed oils.
>All that cheap shit you put in air fryers is soaked in seed oils.
I don't know about you but I have a potato dicer to cut my own fries with, and other than that I mostly grill salmon steaks in it
It's still bad for you because again humans are actually meant to eat fat. That's been the main source of vitamins since forever. Any non-animal food sources like fries are already bad for you since they lack all the 9 essential amino acids but they're even worse when you don't even coat them with vitamins (ie lard/butter).
Omega-3 in fish is beneficial for brain health but pretty delicate at the same time. I'm not sure if air frying is as good at preserving it as quick pan frying tbh senpai.
lol this homie eats dry ass fries. i bet they come out like cardboard.
>protip
blanche them first, and fry them in lard.
I spray some olive oil on them with a sprayer bottle
kay. i bet the air fryer still turns a good amount of them into dry ass cardboard. ovens suck for fries (dont let the marketing term fool you), unless you do the heston blumenthal method or whatever.
>he's oil contains FUPA
then use lard or non-seed oils.... youre not wrong about seed oils being bad, but that doesnt mean you should cut fat out all together (minus the pants shitting thing. that sounds like a you issue).
Wrong board
Ninjas are good
We bought picrel from Costco for like $40. It's fine. It could be larger, but then we'd have trouble fitting it into our small kitchen, so I guess it's a good compromise size after all.
an oven
homie it's just a resistor and a fan. Get whatever let's you control time and temperature.
just get a convection toaster oven.
literally does the exact same shit but actually can be used for other things instead of making it a single use device.
it's an airfryer you fricking moron, just pick one up off the shelf
I have Gorenje AF1409. I don't use it nuch, though.
>What's a decent air fryer for the EU market
Cooking is bad for environment.
i’m in the states but i have a ninja combi that i love
even sous vides
forgot pic
>b***h I was just about to post this
i'm going fricking crazy trying to figure out a good way to souvide eggpites, I saw some tutorial using mason jar,s but they are too big for the combi pan.
>I did a ziplock bag and it worked
there is a dutch oven for it you can buy on ninjas website that is bigger. i don’t personally have it but i’ve thought about getting it
>steaming = souvide
jesus. you guys are falling for more marketing bullshit. that thing aint souviding shit. just get some plastic bags, put food in them, and throw them in a pot of warm water kept at whatever temp the recipe calls for.
that's not how it sous vides, it has an stovetop mode where you set the heat ar like 160 - 170 so it doesn't create steam, then you add your vacuum sealed meets (or in my case egg)
It also has a steamer, and a bunch of other shit.
have this, works fine but kinda tough to clean the inside around the heating element. also the non stick shit on the tray has rubbed off in places
>tough to clean the heating element
flip the fryer upside down
>nonstick shit on the tray
wipe the oil or food residue with a paper towel and then dump the tray in hot water before giving it a sponge bath
>implying they're not all fom the same chinese megafactory anyway
I'm in the US but I got this air fryer as a gift and I love it.
>dual zones that let me cook massive quantities of the same food at once or do two different foods at two different settings
>easy to clean
I also got the grill XL as a christmas gift last year. I cooked two whole steaks on it and they came out delicious. It's not really a complaint but the grill certainly changes the way you do food prep, it cooks very fast compared to normal grill, more than you'd expect. I'm talking steaks in less than 10 minutes, which actually made dinner one night rather awkward to cook when trying to make sides
anyone else using those cheap airfryer paper and enjoy never having to clean their oven after every use? the only bad thing is everything tastes dry and hard with air frying
>the only bad thing is everything tastes dry and hard with air frying
it's supposed to be crispy on the outside, if the whole thing is dry then you overcooked it
am i supposed to be spraying my tendies with cooking oil before?
no. youre supposed to be using an actual oven, a toaster oven (faster preheat) or learn how to fry on a stove (the best/easiest/quickest method)
>how to fy
fill a pot (one of these things in picrel) half way with oil (dont fill it all the way like a moron). put on stove. heat for a few minutes (use thermometer if you want, but its not needed), throw tendy in oil, wait 2-4 min, fish out with tongs. youll get the best tendies you've had since mcdonalds had chicken selects.
>one of these things in picrel
frick. forgot the picture for my snarky comment. also forgot the propper name is "sauce pan".
yes. i like grapeseed oil when i use my meme oven
its literally just a convection oven. somebody took one of these (picrel), came up with a new marketing term, and changed the shape of the device to match said marketing term. thats it.
Just use your pan and put oil in it like a normal person.
air fry your chips in piss
its actually gangster.
>real buttons
"tefal easy fry" air fryers are without touch screen
>seed oils are bad
